Applications are invited for a 3-year PhD position in computational astrophysics at the University of Hamburg.
The position is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) through the Starting Grant “MAGCOW-The Magnetised Cosmic Web” with Principal Investigator Dr.Franco Vazza (University of Bologna, Italy & University of Hamburg, Germany). URL:

The overall theme of the research topic is the simulation of extragalactic magnetic fields in cosmological simulations, and the study of possible observational diagnostics to assess their origin with forthcoming radio surveys.
Candidates with a strong background in physics, astronomy and numerical methods are encouraged to apply. The candidate will be supervised by Prof. Marcus Brüggen and Dr. Franco Vazza.
